Creston city council accepts FAA grant


CRESTON, Iowa - After years of budgeting, one Iowa town is finally getting money to spruce up their airport.

Creston City Administrator Mike Taylor told KXCV/KRNW that the city council accepted an FAA grant to help reconstruct their Creston Municipal Airport runway.

Taylor says the project is expected to cost $5-6 million overall. But Taylor adds that the airport sees a lot of air traffic, and a new runway is sorely needed.
